This summer, we’re diving into the wonderful world of letters—where art and the alphabet collide! Each day kicks off with a mini lesson on building an Architectural Letter. Think of it as learning the “skeleton” of a letter—strong, bold, and ready to be transformed. Once the structure is complete, each young artist gets to take the wheel, turning their letter into something totally unique using the treasures of the studio.
While masterpieces are drying, we’ll take creative detours to explore artists like Paul Klee, Robert Indiana, and Jasper Johns—artists who made letters anything but ordinary!
Along the way, artists will experiment with all kinds of letter magic: glowing illuminated letters with gold leaf, bold 3D and one-point perspective designs, playful alphabet soup creations, flowing cursive and calligraphy, and even turning letters into animals with personality.
And the best part? These lessons don’t stay in the studio. The creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills our artists build will sneak into everything they do—at school, at home, and beyond.
