$59.00

Drawing Intensive – April Vacation Week

These daily sessions are designed for students who want to deepen their drawing skills and explore a variety of artistic techniques in a focused, supportive environment.

Each day begins with gesture drawing, helping students warm up while developing observation skills, fluidity, and confidence. Then students will have the opportunity to choose from the subject matters below for a more detailed drawing.

Still Life Drawing

Students will learn how to thoughtfully arrange and draw still life compositions while studying light sources, highlights, shadows, and value. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how light defines form.

Portraiture

Using photographic references (students are welcome to bring their own), we will study facial proportions, placement of features, and techniques for achieving likeness and expression.

Figure Drawing

Wooden mannequins will be used to explore body structure, balance, and proportion. Students will gain a stronger understanding of how the figure is constructed.

Landscape Drawing

We will compare atmospheric perspective with one-point and two-point perspective, helping students understand how to create depth and space in their compositions.

Students will expand their technical skills, gain confidence in multiple drawing mediums, and develop a stronger foundation in observational drawing.
